Hello Forum:

After reading the good WHT review of PM/CD 6003, I ‘ve been thinking to buy these stereo amp and CD to complete my current set up: Marantz SR 5003 Av receiver + B&W 685 Theater Speaker System.

I will connect the SR 5003 with PM 6003 through the SR 5003 pre outs. I only have two questions:

o Is the 45w per channel of the PM6003 enough to achieve a good Home Theatre experience , considering the SR 5003 has 90w per channel ?. My living room is not big, about 18 m2.

o Will match the 6003’s with the 685s?

If you think there are better options at simlar budget your opinion is wellcome.

Thank you very much for your help. Kind regards.

In a regular, room-sized room like yours the PM6603 has sufficient power to drive your B&W 685s to good, antisocial Home Theatre levels. Your 6003 won't control the gain of the 5003 so you'll have to use two volume controls, but it's a nice match with the 685s.
