Hi everyone

I tried to update the firmware via ethernet yesterday, and the screen indicates "Authenticating" for more than one hour.

I unplugged it, replugged, and the screen now indicates

"Connection fail:38
30min 100%
System"

It seems to be stuck on that...

I tried to reboot it, following the instructions manual, by pressing the two volume buttons while replugging it, but nothing happens, I'm still on that screen.

Is there a way to hard reset the system ? Or an alternative before I send it back for repairing ?

I live in France (sorry for my bad english !), bought it in UK, so the waranty is irrelevant here...

Unplug the mains from the back. Plug it back in. Power on.

Wait 5 minutes before starting/re-starting any updates.

If you still get no progress then I suggest you give D&M tech support a call... on +44 2890 279830

Thank you for your quick response.

I'm actually unable to turn it on / off : everytime I plug it, I have no boot logo, it directly indicates the "downloading" message, then the "connection failed".

Therefore, I'm unable to navigate through menus too.

I'll give the support call a try, thanks for the number. I'll be practicing my english that way ;)
