The data is not being choked by the lack of bandwidth. So my HEOS should sound better to 😄👍its very noticeable on the TV via the sound bar a lot more detail and back ground sound.
It makes sense. 🙂

Not to me it doesn't. Surely the data either comes through or it doesn't?The data is not being choked by the lack of bandwidth.

Precisely, as you so succinctly put it.....It's bollox, to be blunt
Audio streaming requires so little bandwidth even a crappy old ADSL could handle it without issue.
It would buffer if there wasn't enough bandwidth not sound different.
Placebo effect/expectation bias is what's going on here...
And yet, people have issues streaming. Buffering capabilities would be down to the streaming item, and we all know many of these items don't necessarily have a large enough cache. It's bollox, to be blunt

I was alluding to watching high quality 4K streaming. When there are issues with the network, working but my 1GB data has gone down to 20mb.Precisely, as you so succinctly put it.....
Some would. Pick up some £4k ex-demo speakers and connect them to a Nobsound amp. To which they'll either say it sounds amazing, or end up disappointed because it doesn't sound the mutt's.Would you spend £2000 on speakers then connect it to a £50. Amp ?

Same applies to a £2000 TV would you conect it to a poor broad band connection when its capable of HD & 4K picture ?
Most people do.By that argument why would you feed a £2k TV a highly compressed UHD stream that maxes out around 25Mbps, or any broadcast content whatsoever for that matter, rather than a 4K BD?!
Well done! That's £36 saved for the whole year.Ive had my Fibre now just over a week @ £28.99 a month .Very happy with the speed and setup, today i noticed on EE the same package was now £25.99 a month how does that work. Decided to give them a call they had to set up a new contract @ £25.99 a month 45 mins on the phone 🙈,but i got the lower price at no extra cost and no increase this year.😀
I change my car insurance to a new cheaper provider every year always worth using the compare sites.I think I've been through all the major insurers now 😀Well done! That's £36 saved for the whole year.
Virgin Media are rubbish with their existing customers, we pay more than new customers joining.
Every year prior to my contract expiring, I ring up and ask them to fix me up with a better deal or I'm going over to EE, I usually get more than a few quid knocked off each month.
I only wish I can be a bit more pro-active with my car insurance, I've stuck with LV for several years now.
I should do the same 🙂I change my car insurance to a new cheaper provider every year always worth using the compare sites.I think I've been through all the major insurers now 😀
Also you should always insure it at least a month before the renewal is due.If you leave it until the last few days it will be more expensive ,that's insurance companies for you.I should do the same 🙂

That's the reason i got so fed up with my copper connection so inconsistent and unreliable .On the 12th, I had 181 drop outs. A downtime of 2 hours. That almost matched the whole previous 7 days.
If they'd hurry up and install the fibre connection, they wouldn't have to worry about trying to sort out the existing line issue. That's the reason i got so fed up with my copper connection so inconsistent and unreliable .
I then got a 4G router has i have good signal here that was a 100% improvement getting about 50mbps on average. This new fibre is a game changer 100% consistent 150mbps all the time.
The Openreach engineer was talking shite.I was amazed when full fibre came to my little town I thought we'd be last on the list. The open reach engineers came out during the pandemic to lay fibre from the street cabinets to the telegraph pole. When I said i was amazed to one of the engineers. His reply was "only 5% of the UK population live in big cities where other companies are doing the fibre, the rest of the population live in rural areas,
BT have invested billions in rolling out fibre to rural areas before anyone has even signed up for it"
More than 5% live in London!"only 5% of the UK population live in big cities ...''
I did think he was talking *******. Even when I was in High School in the 80's I think London was 10% of the UK population.More than 5% live in London!
I wasn't going to argue with him but I did think he was talking rubbish. It was his response to me saying, "I thought our little town would be last on the list for fibre, we're usually last for anything."I don't even class us as rural. OK we are only a town of 10,000 and we are 20 mins drive from the Yorkshire dales but in the other direction we are 15 mins drive from an urban sprawl that starts in Colne and goes beyond Blackburn. The Openreach engineer was talking shite.
The majority of population live in cities and the suburbs.
Again, that's largely shite.
Altnets such as Gigaclear and others have also targeted rural areas.
But, much of the rural rollout has also been publicly funded, via BDUK because it's commercially unviable to roll out otherwise, with Openreach and various altnets all bidding for the contracts/funding
And BT/Openreach have had to be dragged kicking and screaming with threats of further regulation and being broken up to get to where we are with their current rollout/investment plans too.
