MA A100 vs Marantz NR1506 on Q Acoustics 3020

Hi all,

have my mind between A100 and NR1506 to drive QA 3020.

Is it the case that AV receivers still can't match stereo for music?

Prefer Ma but toying with the idea of adding sub and centre( in not so near future) to create 3.1 on Marantz.

Any ideas appreciated.

Depending on the use. You'll find many posts on here where people use stereo amps for home cinema and aren't perfectly happy. Also some where others use av receivers for music and wonder how much better would it be with a stereo amp.

Both have theirs pros and cons. What's more important to you movies or music? And don't say sound quality as good stereo amp will not do that well at home cinema equally so, good av receiver will never be as good at music as a stereo amp.

They are two different products for a reason. The way you use them primarily will give you the best hint of what you need.

You'll probably not get someone who has used both. The monitor audio works well with q acoustics 2020i, the 3020 are supposed better
. The monitor audio also has provision for a sub

I think the Ma 100 would be the best,you might also consider the Nad D3020
