Slightly off topic, we have a brand new cinema five minutes from our house. Puts my media room to shame with leather recliners a huge Atmos system and Sony 4K PJs. Wife wants the "comfy chairs" and I want the 4K PJ and screen...

Anyway, we saw "The Post". Excellent movie, if not in the "Batman vs The Peterculter Bagpipe Band" all CGI genre. Superb performances as usual from Hanks, Streep and Odendirk (of Better Call Saul fame). A telling of the leaked documents that showed even LBJ knew Vietnam was unwinable, but that successive POTUSs wouldn't be the one to admit defeat.

Wait for it to come out on Netflix, but well worth watching. Parallels with the current situations in Iraq and Afghanistan resonate.

Crikey, 581?! I don't think I've ever managed to watch that many films in a year, not even when I was watching loads, I might've managed 300 to 400ish I think. I'm probably down to about 50 now :-(
Going by what I’ve watched so far this year (25 after this evening), I’ll have 50 done by the end of January!
Hope you see this David. How many films did you watch in January?

I managed 4!! *i-m_so_happy*

In my defence, yur honour, I did watch 2 1/2 seasons of Breaking Bad.

now that I have finally got my new Atmos/DTS-X setup all connected and calibrated. *yahoo*

it's only 5.2.2 but thats down to the budget I had.

demoed a few scenes last night from some Atmos/DTS-X encoded films and also some Dolby Atmos trailers including one set in a forest.

over all first impressions are great with the ceiling mounted speakers definitely making a difference.

I was trying to remember which thread this was in...

Ended up on 56 :)
Crikey, keep that up and you'll be on for a huge total, happy viewing *biggrin*
I won't be able to keep that up - that'd be 672 for the year - never reached 600! The numbers suffer when I'm away from home for weeks or weekends for starters, and that's staying away from any type of TV series - I've been meaning to watch Mindhunter, the first series of True Detective, and I bought the X Files on Bluray about two years ago and still not opened it! Never seen an episode...

Plus I want to revisit The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits.
