LG 37LG3000 - STAND PROBLEM

My neighbour has asked me to wall mount her 37LG3000. No issues with the wall mount, but how do you get the swivel bottom off the TV. I have read on some other sites that once the swivel base has been put on the TV it is impossible to remove. I really find this hard to believe. My neighbour can't find the instructions that came with the TV. Anyone out there know if it is possible to remove the base? Thanks for any help.

I had an identical problem with my old Toshiba 32", so I looked up the manual on the internet. It described perfectly how to remove the base.

Unfortunately, I still couldn't actually get mine off. So I unscrewed the legs, just leaving the swivel housing sticking out of the bottom.

Most unsatisfactory ... !

Mez, thanks for the reply. I have a feeling that it may not come off. However, if that is the case it is a serious design fault.
