Pulse is a great amp , very musical ,wide soundstage and lashings of detail. Very neutral sounding amp .If you go with warm sounding pmc's ,you have hours of enjoyable listening.Mumford and sons at Glastonbury are also in my living room at the moment. More toe tapping.

Oh yes, and had Chic on from Glastonbury. Awesome sounding with my RS6s.

Harking back to the PMCs you know when a speaker sounds 'right'. It's very hard to explain or define on a forum.

I don't understand your system but given I've had the Pulse for almost 3 years now, I know its little foibles. ;)

Yes Sonus is my only source.

No I haven't, or would. I'm far from a Luddite but I like the idea of choosing different components and may be changing them. Its a bit of a chase and I think pychologically that's why so many people like choosing cables, DAC's etc it's the interest of choosing and being rewarded or otherwise with better sound. It's a hobby and I've enjoyed this process in a way it will be sad when it ends and buy something.

I love tech and gadgets and I own some Audioengine A2's which are brilliant little things. But active main speakers system no thanks!

Which bit PP.? Only what I've highlighted before about it being sensitive to system matching. So if you have a bright source or the speakers are a little over lively then that needs to be balanced out, but I've not heard a Sonus. Sorry can't advise on that one.

Get it right, though, and you'll be in a for sonic ride and a half.

Pretty disapointed with Glastonberry this year though I have just watched a re-run of the XX who were wonderful.

Mumford and Sons are a joke, simply one of the most derivative, exploitative pieces of crap I have ever heard, execrable!

Boggit - Just buy what ever PP says, save yourself the trouble of trying it yourself,

Then, if it doesn't work for you, you can get him to come round and sort it out for you, no problem.

If had read my earlier responses you would have picked up on I advised a visit to local Leema dealer to hear the Elements range and see if that takes the OP's fancy.

Wow, that was quick. Please keep us informed.

One thing I will say about the Leema is it sounds good from the box. However, that is decieving because give a few weeks and IME I heard something different from the same bands/albums practically every time I played it.

Good luck.

Well done Mrs Boggit, you know it makes sense... a boy must have his toys.

Ignore the sarcasm, just enjoy the music.

Looking forward to your thoughts later.

Sorry PP, not aimed at you at all.

Just my jovial commentary at the absurdity of letting someone else chose your system for you, whether that person is a well regarded reviewer or a person on a forum.

If you really can not audition the options, find a helpfull and informative dealer and get him to recommend the system, at least in that case you do have someone to sort things out should things not turn out quite right.

All very well, but some people wouldn't be comfortable

with seeking a dealers advice, then buying the kit elsewhere.

I don’t think anybody was laughing.

So if your opinion is correct there is absolutely no point in this forum!

Yes you grovel to PP now as a respected member but your comments were disrespectful to him, regardless that the comment were aimed at me.

The BBC provided many channels to watch if something did not appeal to you I suggest you turn over and not waste your time on slagging them off on a pointless forum.

Yes I’m a grown man and I make, made my own decision (read page 1 post 9).

I know the risk and I take it, knowing that I can, and do “sort things out should things not turn out quite right[/b]” hence one of the reasons I don’t need a dealer, come to that point do you know a dealer who stocks a Leema Pulse II.

I ignored the first post with the distain it disserved, I don’t require a further comment or answer, your negative, narrow minded and rude comments may be more suited to the Daily Mirror forum.

I am happy to offer apologies if I caused offence, as I have discovered on another thread my attempts at deadpan style humour do not always come across as intended.

Apologies accepted and thank you.

Life is full of discoveries e-mail Facebook and Forums are public and totally open. Ones like this are also a community, comments need to be made with respect. Comments made should be made with this in mind no matter how humorous in your head.

Believe me I sometimes want to make comments as I’m sure many of us do. They would all be taken out of context and probably cause offence no matter how humorous you think the post is. Not to mention typos that put a whole different slant on your comments. Save them for the pub with your mates its safer!

This is my first interaction with forums for this very reason.

Anyway back to the thread I’m listening to the new system now will post later about my thoughts. All I will say so far are the speakers are tiny!! Both like new!!

Apologies not needed. The grovelling bit sounds good, though. ;)
