Just had our px70 42" replaced due to fault (kept turning itself off after 6 months). Have now got a px80. I have noticed when tv is in standby every now and then it clicks. Is this normal?. Do people genrally leave plasmas on standby when not in use or do they switch off via on/off switch on the tv itself?

Don't know if it is normal but mine does it as well - think it might be something to do with the fans. You will of course save money (and apparently the planet) if you switch it off rather than leave it in standby mode.

Yeah mine also clicks when on standby, doesn't have any fans, must be some sort of relay. I switch mine of anyway instead of leaving on standby. Glad to hear it's all sorted.

Always switch off my plasma at night rather than leave on standby (3 years old now) so I doubt this caused the issue somehow. In my mind, it seems more likely that leaving something on standby would cause an issue rather than completely switching it off...
