Does anyone know when this TV will be relased in the UK? I've seen the specs and it is exactly what i'm after, but can't find anything about UK release date and the sony centre is saying it is not coming out in the UK - whihc I don't believe...

We believe that there is indeed a 40W3000 on the way, and that it may even be ready in time for consideration in our awards. The release date is going to be later in the year, possibly October.

In the meantime there are some excellent offers to be had on the absolutely brilliant 40W2000, so shop around if you don't fancy waiting for our verdict on the new one.

Thinks for the info....

I'm happy to wait - I want the 1080P from the component input (Xbox 360), also the 3 HDMI sockets and the 1080/24 for which ever HD disc wins the "format war" - I'm thinking Blu Ray, but not chancing £400 on it!!

Doesn't look like this model does "MotionFlow" - although it does accept 1080p24, I can't tell if it has the right Refresh Rate or not, think that's for the next model up...
