I am finally taking the plunge and starting to upgrade my rather ancient TV - spoilt for choice but thinking of either the SamsungUE46C8000 or LG47LE8900 featured in July Supertest. However, I need help! I have a Denon AVR 3802 with Mission FS2AV NXT 5.1 speakers - can I upgrade the TV first and will it work with these? I can then upgrade Amp/speakers later - or would I be better upgrading everything and perhaps going for a cheaper TV? I also want to get a Blu Ray player - was thinking of the Sony BDP-S760. Would this be a good match? Overall budget is around £2,500.

Any advice gratefully received. Thanks

Yes, you can get the TV first. The Sony BDP-S760 is a great choice and with the multichannel analogue outputs, you can still use your Denon amp.

The blu-ray player will decode the HD soundtracks on-board and pass it thru to your amp and speakers.
