Any chance that one of your local stockists could order one for you, BBB? Or have a ring round?

Worth a try. They were either very popular or the stockists didn't get many in. As I said I only found one shop that did have them and bought the last one.

I'd be very interested to see what their turnover is once they become full priced at £14.99.

I'm honestly not that bothered, I have a 80s/90s reissue copy anyway. I was more interested in having a look at it really, and according to the website, there's plenty more stockist nearby. I'll have another look tomorrow.

Just picked up my copy today, will be interesting to see how it stacks up against my other copy.

It would be nice to know as my only other copy is on a SACD disc.

really annoyed, can't find the original although very happy with the quality of the vinyl. On the plus side found a copy of Miles Davis - The Orginal Quintet (first recording) on the prestige label so will give that a few spins but need to clean the disc and has a lot of scratches.

Thanks to plastic penguin for starting this thread, and to those who said the pressing was good and who provided links to stockists. I picked up a copy on Friday, and listened to it today. Am very happy. Especially for a fiver!

After seeing what TSP had written, I decided to check another stockist (Asda), and they only had about 15 copies, so it would have been rude not to have taken one away.

I've got it on the turntable now, and it has the slightest of warps, but nothing to worry about, and as others have said, it sounds good, and definitely worth a fiver.

There's some good other titles to come, but I already have a Blue Note reissue of the Coltrane album, and there's a big difference between £5 and £15, so I probably won't be buying any after this.

Mine too had a slight warp to outer edge but nothing dramatic. Quiet and apparently well recorded otherwise.

I'd put this down to transportation and storage (most people will have forgotten how to do that). :)

That's a nice list if you're into or getting into jazz and, assuming future issues are of the same quality as this first one, then £14.99 is not really a bad price to pay.
