Since getting my Panny 37PX80, I've been really chuffed with the PQ, except for almost any sport on ITV. The Grand Prix and football has been atrocious as many people have noted on these forums. I've spotted a couple of comments that ITV HD (on Freesat) does considerably improve the quality, as you would hope! Can anyone tell me however whether it is worse than other HD channels (in the same way the ITV standard def was dreadful for footy compared to Sky or BBC standard def)?

Does anyone know if ITV HD is only going to be on Freesat - I've just got hold of Virgin Media's HD box, any more HD channels would be greatly appreciated!!!

Cheers

For the moment ITV HD is exclusively on Freesat, and yes, it's a considerable improvement over SD and similar in quality to other HD channels. I have the Virgin V+ box too, and although they ran early trials of ITV HD last year, there's ittle chance of Virgin getting the service while it's exclusive on Freesat. Shame.
