Teac VRDS is super cheap to make? Possibly, but you don’t really know that now do you?

I know because I have eyes and experience machining (CNC and manual), sheet metal fabrication, education in mechanical engineering. Its really inexpensive and basic. I've also spent countless hours modding CDP transports.

You need to start your own hi Fi company maybe, because the views of a few bods on here count for more than the commercial and technical acumen of a hi Fi business.

That would ruin my enjoyment of this hobby. Only thing that matters is for me to win in this thread. *dirol*

Well done! Can you tap dance too?

Here’s a VRDS mech: http://www.esoteric.jp/technology/vrdsneo/indexe.html

Here’s a Marantz CD6005 mech: https://www.wagneronline.com.au/sanyo-sf-p101-sf-p101n-mechanism/dvd-cd-parts/service-repair-parts/mec101-16-6051/2389/pd/

Now, it’s a tough one, but which is the more expensive to manufacture do you think?

I must do this. Potentially millions of people reading this. We could be making Hi-Fi history.

Thats the vibration tratment making sweet uncompressed music. But they should have consulted me before designing that nonsense.

But the tray itself has nothing to do with playback - it’s just a nicety. Admittedly, it’s a really nice nicety. The first awesome tray I came across was the Yamaha CDX-2020 I had - you cold stand on it. Then there was the Linn Karik. A few more after that, but not many.

Yup. I had the first Karik/Numeric and it had a great tray....and a great sound. It was the first CDP that I heard, which was musical enough to swap my LP12/Asak/Ittok for.

I could win this.
Anybody willing to stay up all night for the last say?

I have now my alarm clock set for 3:90am.

Impedance is futile.
