Ipod Digital Out

Hi,

I am interested in using my Ipod through my hifi set up and have come across the DLO HomeDock HD and am woundering if any body can tell me if I'm correct in thinking it bypasses the internal DAC, and knows of somewhere to purchase in the U.K.

I thought the Wadia iTransport (which has had some great reviews - equaling the quality of highest DVD players paired with a cheap ipod) was the only way of bypassing the internal DAC. Maybe this is a new addition but it needs Apple approval in order to get the digital signal out of the ipod.
