I own a few pairs of cabletalk broadcast 2s and i was wondering what peoples opinions of these cables are. Personally i like them alot, i already had 2 sets and i recently bought another pair off e bay for £29. Can i do better in the £100 ish range today? I would be particularly interested in an opinions from a cable reviewer.

If they work on your system, and you like them lots, stick with them ... I don't offer recomendations anymore when it comes to cables, as seems that what I like is not favoured by some

am sure that you will get many different recomendations here, but IMHO the best thing to do, is to see if you can get some different cables from your nearest hifi store on loan, and test them on your system (but make sure that they have been run in)

...and clean the RCA plugs and sockets on your existing cables before doing a comparison, i.e. check you're not comparing dirty connections with nice new clean ones.

I still have 2 pair of Broadcast 2's, somewhere! I don't think good cables can get worst with times, stick to them...I reckon. £29 is a bargain btw, I paid a lot more than that for my cabletalk.

Thankyou Graham

Dim, feel free to make any reccomedations you like. Unless somebody comes along and says OMG x cable is twice as good as my broadcasts, im probably not going to change them anyway. I was just interested in opinions

Rob yes your right, i have been meaning to clean up my plugs for a while now, but what is a good cleaner to use? im not going to put anything near them that cleans by taking the surface off.

Thaiman, yeah the price was good. I payed £100 for my 1 meter pairs, when i got this set off ebay they turned out to be only 0.5s but they sound just the same, so yeah im happy with the price especially as you cant get em anymore. I was quite shocked when i found out cabletalk isnt around anymore. I wonder what happened to them.

You're welcome. Good to see Thaiman posting too - been a while?

I fall in the "keep `em" camp, the endless search for perfection in a wire gets boring and if they do a good job for you then definately hang onto them.
