Hi
I have speakers rated as Nominal impedance 4-8ohms (all speakers are rated the same as they are all from the Mordaunt Short Mezzo speaker range) which impedance setting do i use when connecting them to a Onyko TX-NR1007 Receiver?
The instruction manual of the AV Receiver TX-NR1007 states:-
“Speaker Impedance”, select either
4ohms: Select if the impedance of any speaker is 4 ohms or more but less than 6.
Or
6ohms: Select if the impedances of all speakers are between 6 and16 ohms.
My speakers fall within both selections. Please advise.
I have already asked Mordaunt Short support this question and they say set to the Onyko to 6ohms, which is the opposite to the 4ohms recommendation from Onyko support.
Which is right/who is correct? I have the Onkyo Receiver on order. At present I am using an pioneer receiver set to 6ohms (rather than the other setting of 8ohms)
Regards
