At the risk of starting an all out brawl, I am canvassing opinions here.... all are welcome to have a post.

If money were no object what 37" TV would you buy, and why?

Money no object, I would stick with the one that I have! I spent a long time, looking in various shops, testing, more testing and even more testing, before deciding on the Panny 37PX80. As I watch nearly all the football I can, and love the odd movie or 2, the Panny was the only choice for me. Motion handling, black levels, realistic colours were the big reasons for me.

....If money were no object, I certantly wouldn't be buying a '37' tv! 🙂

indeed id probably go for a 60" and then a separate projection set up

Yeah I would be buying a 50" Pioneer LX508D (just for general viewing, mainly) and then also a really cool projector with an automated screen that pops down from the ceiling in front of the tv, for when I want to have a big movie night with my buddies. As for a 37" tv, well I'd have a couple of them probably... and yes they would be Panasonics; maybe a 37PX80 and a 37LZD85, to have a little bit of variety. It's nice to torture yourself by thinking about having endless amounts of cash isn't it...

For the purpose of this exercise can we assume you don't have millions of pounds to buy an old cinema for youself and just say you wanted a small 37" TV for your guest bedroom (which is obviously in the east wing of your mansion).
I could open it up to what would you buy given all the money in the world and absolutely no limitations but I wanted to create some kind of cohesion in the answers to provoke a debate rather than just a random list of £50k bravias, kuros and special one off commisions.

If there is a valid reason you wouldn't buy a 37", i.e. a 40" would take no extra room and/or require no extra viewing space and there is a particluar 40" TV you rate superior to anything else in the world then please feel free to tell us all.

On a separate note.....

I Might have guessed the Pannys would be featuring strong, anyone got any other suggestions or are they just far and away the winner at this size of TV?

I like the idea of buying two of them Benjamin... a Plasma and an LCD giving you a choice every time and an opportunity to settle any plasma/lcd debates for yourself by placing them side by side!
