I want to add good, bassy sound to lcd tv, ideally under £400. Do I just need a good pair of speakers/ An amp? Anything else?

Hi,

I am buying an hd lcd flatscreen tv (prob LG, 37"). The only real downside of it is the sound. The TV will be in a smallish room (10x15 feet) but I want good, clear, punchy bassy sound because I play all my music (streamed through a ps3) through my TV too.

So I'm hoping I can just get a pair of speakers that will give me good sound - paying somethign between £150 and £300. Is that all I need? Or do I also need an amp or something?

I'd be hugely grateful for any help!

Decent speaker stands plus cable = £400. Perfect IMO, and your music will sound a whole lot better too.
