i pod dock problem

I am an idiot.

I recently purchased a Denon i pod dock/charger ASD 11R and when it wouldn't work with my Pioneer Hi Fi amp, I did some internet homework , discovering that the unit is dedicated to Denon only systems.

Does anyone know if it can be used with any other make of receiver/amp , or will I have to buy a Denon reciever to enjoy it ?!

Wouldn't work how? You can use the stereo outputs to plug it into your Pioneer receiver, and the s-video output to display the menu on screen, in theory? You just won't get info on the AV receiver's display, unless its a Denon.

Thanks John, I have already tried that, but no life at all & no sign of the unit charging. I think it must be something to do with the dock control not being connected to anything.

I have made an online enq.to Denon, but no reply thus far.
