Hello everyone.
I am on this journey of learning specifications so I can buy a DAP wisely, not just for the DAP itself but so I can then buy headphones (IEM or headset) that can be run by that DAP.
I would like to ask you to teach me the following specifically:

• How do I know if a DAP will support a certain headset?

For example, I was considering the Sony NW-WM1AM2, and I want to know what specification to look for (of this DAP and any other) to see if it supports Sennheiser HD600.
So, what specification should I look for in a DAP and headphones to see if that DAP will be able to run it?

Thank you very much in advance.

DAPs (or any other headphone amplifier) quote their output power in mW (milliwatts) into specific impedances (measured in ohms and often shown with the Omega symbol).
That's how to compare the power and the suitability for different headphones.

Whenever they quote power into a range of impedances, you will notice that the higher the impedance, the lower the power - which is why people use higher powered headphone amps with enough power to get the best out of headphones - especially the highest impedance headphones.

At 300 ohms the HD-600 is a high impedance headphone.
I've seen a couple of spec lists for the Sony DAP you mention - quoting output powers into 16 and 32 ohms only.
That suggests the HD-600 are not the best match for it.
