Hi, I've been saving my hard earned cash to buy a good 32"-37" tv, i do quite a bit of ps3 gaming(is lcd the way to go?) and have around £500-£600 to spend, having seen the what hifi review of the Panasonic tx32lmd70 i went out to take a look, i went into my local richer sounds(i know not always liked on these forums, but i have always found to be very helpful with advice etc) although they didn't have the panasonic on display they got a brand new one out of the box to show me, they put it next to a Sharp which they had recommended, i must say that the Panasonic in comparison looked absolutely aweful, even after changing settings to try and make the picture better.

I have read a lot of posts on these forums and i am not completely sold on the 100hz technology that some lcd manufacturers are pushing.....on demonstartion i have found the picture to be worse in some cases, does this actually make any difference?, also just how important is the response time?, the guys at Richer said that Panasonic rarely state response times, which i have found to be the case on the Panasonic website. My local Sevenoaks told me that "Screenburn" is still an issue with plasma screens how true is this? and finally(sorry to throw so many questions) how important is the contrast ratio? i have looked into this and there does'nt seem to be a straight answer, i'm aware of static and dynamic contrast ratios but what are they? and what do they mean?.

Please help all i want to do is play fifa09 in glorious hd

There is a setting on new Pansonics, can't remember which menu but it's when you first do a set-up It asks Home or Store. If you select the wrong one for the location the picture will look pants.

The stuff about screen burn is Bo--ocks. The screen will be obsolete long before you're worried about screen burn. You'll be watching OLED by then.

I have 2 Panasonics and the picture is spot on - when I demo'd my first one I put it up against all the major brands in Richer Sound and it was by far the best confirming the mag reviews all the way. mind they do need fiddling with to get the picture right when you get them home.
