Leema Xero's - £399, but a bit over your budget, but fantastic speakers...

The Neutrons are not bass heavy speakers which is what I warned about in an earlier posting. The bass they produce is very good though so auditioning will determine whether they suit, etc.

EDIT They do 65Hz at -6dB. My Spendors are the same and driven well produce stunning bass in my 4x4m room. A bit of rear wall reinforcement can help. On the OP's amp they probably won't dig as deep as they could.

I get 40Hz at -3dB. Down to 35Hz if you want -6. Not including room gain.

This is why we should DIY. Commercial speakers are small, so, to keep efficiency reasonable, bass response goes down significantly. Ever wondered why an 8" woofer needs 500W for your average sub? They sacrificed efficiency instead of bass response. Or, make the box big, get bass and efficiency.
