My room is pretty much that size and I find I get a far more spacious and 3D soundstage with standmounts rather than floorstanders.
And it's impossible to have a huge sweetspot in a room of this size. Yes you can ensure it all sounds clear from everywhere, but you're only going to get the imaging from a central point.
Wrt them being 30cm from walls, avoid rear ported.
And as for brands - PMC, ProAc, Sonus Faber, Epos would be my first ports of call.
