Humax HDR 1100s keeps turning on and off

8 weeks old, been working fine, but now starts to boot up but turns itself off...................then on again............then off................etc.etc.

I've unplugged it, and am waiting for half an hour, waving a dead toad over it whilst chanting ancient incantations, then throwing it on the fire if it still won't work.

Any other suggestions?

Where did you but it from ? From a shop or online ? If it keeps doing it i would return it anyway.

Resolved some weeks ago by doing a factory reset in case it's of interest to anyone else. There was a software update in July I think, that hadn't updated on some machines.
