How would you define an Audiophile?

It's more about gear than music. You really do not require High fidelity audio stuff to enjoy music. Ask millions of women.

I would say that's unfair to women but, my wife doesn't care about sound quality, even said my Focals would sound no better than the Sony WH-1000XM3s, I bought her a few years ago...

An Audiophile is someone who picks his nose for lunch and keeps banging on about the delights of being a vegan, he occasionally listens to music but loves playing with his own equipment...cough cough!......🙂
