I am in the final stages of discussion with my wife as to what my budget shall be for my new Home Cinema system.

My question is once I have this total figure, how much should I spend percentage wise on each component?

Any suggestions most welcome....

35% screen

30% speakers

25% amp

10% cables & interconnects

And then cheekily upgrade the power cable and mains block after the fact, when no-one's watching...

EDIT: you may want a BD player too....... hmmmmm...

Hi ajm,

If you bought a £500 Blu-ray player, we'd suggest spending around £1000 on a home cinema amp and then around £2000 on a speaker package, to really get the most out of your kit. Of course, this is just a guide and might change depending on your priorities. Let us know what you come up with. We're all more than happy to help!
