Hi,

I've had the Pioneer screen since January but still not sure I'm getting the best out of it. At the minute I only have SD source material (Blu-ray for Christmas hopefully!) I've followed the advice I got when I bought the screen (turn off all the noise reduction) and I've since had numerous fiddles with the on screen adjustments. Colour is fine and the black levels and shadows when given a decent film source are great, but it has a issue with detail seeming to float rather than be fixed to the thing it should be on. Do you see what I mean? This is much worse on broadcast TV.

Any help on getting the most from my screen would be greatly appreciated.

Jon

I have come across this this is for the LX5090 i used the one for the KRP500A from the same source and it gives a great picture. If your still not happy with the picture i would investigate the aerial just to make sure it not the weak link.

Thanks that does look much better.

Anybody else fiddled with the menus and found a really good setting?

I had my pioneer kuro professionally calibrated but before I did my settings were virtually identical to the ones posted above. From memory my only difference was that shaprness was at -9 but the general consensus seems to be that it should be as low as possible.

Having colour space at 2 seemed to work well for me (again as recommended above)
