How to open capsule of Sennheiser HD250 Linear?

In a previous post it was suggested that a remedy to the issue of one of the capsules of my elderly HD250s suddenly and unexpectedly dying on me, might be to open the capsule and check the connections between the coil and where the audio lead plugs in.

Can anyone tell me, please, how do I open the capsule? Is it a straightforward matter of using a couple of flat bladed screwdrivers to prise the front and back sections apart?

Although I do have a soldering iron, I don't possess a multi-meter, so any helpful suggestions in that vein won't actually help! But thanks in advance for any advice here.

I finally got back to you on the original thread Rupert.

No doubt you've checked YouTube as I did - only to confirm what we already knew - that Americans can't correctly pronounce the word 'solder' (never bothers them with aluminium either though does it?)

No 250 openers on there though.
