how to connect my panasonic wa310 subwoofer to my new av receiver

hi i have just bought a new yamaha receiver and have decided to connect my old speakers from my panasonic dvd system which is a 5.1 system with a powered subwoofer the problem i have is all the leads from the speakers all connect to the back of the subwoofer but all of them can be removered except the subwoofer itself it has no leads out so just wondered how do i connect the subwoofer to the new reciever the model number for the subwoofer is the wa310 the unit is the panasonic sa-mt1 can anyone help thanks

It may be possible to hack into the multicore cable used to connect the Panasonic head unit to the subwoofer, and discover which wires within carry signal to the sub, but I suspect the subwoofer will also have remote power switching controlled by the head unit, so may not work unless the old system player/processor unit is connected.

However, I have to say I think your new receiver deserves better speakers...
