When I First entered This forum I had just after a long time found hifi again. Full of excitement as I was embarking a adventure. I was thrilled.

Now I have learnt that harassment of people is moderator approved fun in the forum. I am not willing to tolerate it. As part of those harassing me are well respected members here in the forum, like Vladimir or cheeseboy, I see my only solution to be just leave this forum.

You can have you sick fun, but not on my expense!

I just went through your biwire post. I understand how you feel. But dont give up yet. Dont take anything personnal. I also have done the single to bi-wire and felt a huge difference. There is also science behind this since the moving coil in the woofer creates another current that flows backward in the wire and can affect the tweater more in single wire. And ABX testing needs to be tought again I wrote about that if you want to explore my posts.

Please read my post in your biwire thread.

I understand your frustrations, but there is no need to take things so personally. Some people lack tact, some people like to be technical, some people are a little immature. The thing is everyone here has a love of Hi-Fi and getting the most out their music collection. Not many people in this world give a damn about the subject, so the more people there are here to talk, debate, argue or whatever the better!

Audio is very subjective and everyone's ears, rooms, tastes, systems, knowledge and experience is all very variable. Try not to take it all literally.

The music is simply great.

That is just so ... so ... subjective.

I think this really should be verified under blind conditions by an independant panel before making such grand statements.

Do let us know what you have been listening to so that we can critique your musical choices.

Don't take any less than favourable responses to heart. I've been on this forum since the beginning of time, helping countless people, and still I get the s**** kicked out of me on occasions.

Hi-fi is such a personal hobby, and in addition, there's been zillions of cable threads (certainly feels like it) that they nearly always end in tears.

I would recommend that you should stick around, as there is a wealth of knowledge hiding in the undergrowth.

I have had more than my fair share of arguments surrounding Cables, Isolation, Mains products etc, and I'm still here fighting my corner....it's just that I take part in less pointless, polemic arguments these days.

There are more folk on here who have commited to the "Dark Side" than you might imagine.....it's just they are shy and illusive. *smile*

And you were wrong in all of them! *diablo*

Seriously though TatuHoo. Stick around it's a friendly place really. You just need to avoid the cable, bit-rate and active vs passive threads which always endup up in either arguments or p*** taking. You'll find its the same on all the other hifi forums too. *drinks*

Sad to say some people on the site need to get a life - it's not the first time I've read their ignorant put downs of other posters etc. Sad old people (some of them) who ought to know better. Some of them have a severe case of last word - itis! ..

Don't take it to heart - even though it is severely off putting.

All the best - tonky

I don't think there is anything wrong with the forum now, in my view it's the best I have seen it. All the rules and regulations were crazy! It's much better now. I don't know what goes on in the HiFi section but the home cinema section works great. If anyone steps out of line the members soon lets that person know. Perhaps the same should happen in the HiFi section? We are all grown ups at the end of the day, we hardly need moderating! All the experienced members are used to the forum and its way and cope fine. It's the new members with the problems.

I think the protestors should realise that what seems to them to be perfectly reasonable is to others completely ridiculous. It is very hard to bite your tongue when people post stuff that you know is impossible.

Well I have a problem with a couple of assertions here: 'steps out of line'? What line? You mean some people have radically different views that are not acceptable to the other members? 'Members soon let that person know': You mean a self-elected panel disciplines the people who say 'wrong' things?

I knew you were joking though when you said, 'We are all grown ups...' Nice one.

*biggrin*. Well if that all it comes down to, then there is not much wrong anyway is there?
