100% through the amazing Magnepan speakers, of which

75% is CD

10% is radio

10% is TV

the rest the new playstation. That is probably going to increase, however!

Up until about a month ago, it was 100% CDs.

Since I got the NA7004 it's about 80% Airplay streaming (ALAC/AAC) & 20% internet radio. In the time since I've had it, I've hardly put any CDs on as the NA7004's a superior source with lossless files than the universal disc player is with CD.

But above all else, it's so damn convenient! I value highly being able to remain in my listening position and have my entire itunes library at my disposal at the touch of a screen. It's all worked so flawlessly since day 1 too (the NA7004, Airplay & Apple's remote app).

100% cd.

tried spotify, didn't like it.

tried vynil, got fed up of getting up to change it over, and didn't like the sound either.

sold my beyerdynamic headphones, and now regret it. (they were really good) bought some marleys, but thats like replacing a rolls royce with a ford escort!

sony laptop sounds crap.

so, i'm sticking with the rega apollo, brilliant cd player.

i'm waiting for the next big advance in digital music, (that i can afford) to see how that goes.

50% CD owing to the Cyrus bold signature.

40% Streaming via Cocktail Audio WAV NAS/Spotify courtesy of Sonos products.

8% DVD Audio/SACD out of curiousity via CA 751BD utilising Soundbar/Subwoofer vs analogue 8Xpd/KEF.

2% Vinyl as local Charity shop are selling this format for peanuts which should rekindle interest. But I need a proper turntable rather than a USB version.

Do you miss the vinyl Clare?

I have to admit, where I have the same album on CD and vinyl I always play the vinyl now, and I'm planning to box up a lot of the CDs into storage as they get replaced on vinyl. I find the whole LP experience more enjoyable right from finding and buying the records to playing them and enjoying the much more involving sound.

nope, not missing the vinyl - or the space 300 albums took up!

I too preferred vinyl to CD - but bit-perfect rips and downloads beat both in our set-up

*Prepares to be flamed* - other than the lovely Revox, our main system is now all Naim: HDX SSD, pre/power amps and Ovator speakers. And no, I don't work for Naim (but did get a good deal)!

Mine is 99% through the Sonos network as follows............

FLAC for all CDs/Downloads from a Vortexbox software based system and Internet Radio approx. 95%.

CD's which are played through my Linn Classik, and listened to either in the study or output via it pre-out to Sonos input and broadcast.... at least until it's ripped approx 2%.

Pure DAB/FM or Ipod when either gardening, in the greenhouse, reading or doing DIY approx 3%.

I still have loads of records to RIP, but my NAD 533 has not been touched for over three years (easy) since the 'addiction' to streaming. All my cassettes are in the loft since being ripped - no player now. I have kept a Panasonic portable CD player to plug into the Sonos should the Linn CD player fail, however, when I can get all the artists that I like in FLAC as a 16bit/48khz download (don't need or can't hear HD sound quality), then I expect to 99% streaming, with a small fraction on portable radio or Ipod.

That's progress for you...... sometimes I even yearn for the purchase, take out of sleeve, put on, listen and read sleeve process........ but Sonos is just soooooo much more convenient, faster and fun.
