How does your listening divide by source?

I remember having a thread like this a couple of years ago and thought it would be interesting to see how people's approaches to listening have changed. Which formats are you using now and what is the rough division of time spent with each format?

I know 2 years ago I would have said CD was my main format but now it is overwhelmingly vinyl with only about 10% of my listening being digital (CD or otherwise).

No change in the last two years MP, ditched the vinyl when the CD and other digital options were as good in practice. Out it all went. I have the Rega P3/AT440MLa on top of my wardrobe where it's been for a few years now.

The only thing that's changed, is I probably split my time more between movies and music than the latter. It's still two channel though, the new Onkyo amp let me bi-amp cost effectively, the difference is noticeable and better. I've bought a few things but the core system is as below and with my trusty Marantz SA7001-KI on the rack too. The only likely change in the near future will be some new speakers - the current shortlist includes Martin Logan Motion 15, Tannoy Precision 6.1 and the KEF LS50s as a dark horse. Not convinced by their Terry's Chocolate Orange driver arrangement though...

EDIT: okay, you want a percentage split: 50:50 music from various digital sources and TV/movies.

50% Spotify, 40% flac from HD to Marantz, 20% music blogs to discover new music then find it or not on Spotify or Bandcamp or Soundcloud then buy flacs :)

Most of my cds are in storage overseas, so 99% Spotify Premium.

My only issue is to find a way to use Offline mode while I am training.

I use the wonderfully compact 'clip on' Nano 6th gen but I can not use Spotify Offline as it is not wifi.

The Touch is much too large, especially after the Nano.

Any ideas anyone?

(I could use Audio Hijack to record from Spotify, into iTunes and on to my Nano, but it is longwinded and a bit clunky. Although I pay for my Spotify Premium, and am allowed to play offline, I would guess that breaks the licensing agreement.)

a phone contract with unlimited data could be the answer. I did that and it works. Spotify everywhere.. not limited to 3333 songs anymore:)

100 % streaming by Airport Express (analog). A lot of 256 kb AAC, and the rest is Apple lossless. Everything from an iMac.

Radio Paradise on the SBT for 30/45 mins in the morning before leaving for work.

CDs in the van during the working day

CDs, LPs, Spotify via SBT,more Radio Paradise via SBT in the evening - split evenly I reckon, depends on my mood, or if my current book is particularly good and I can't be bothered getting up off my behind to change anything.

I have considered variations on this theme but any phone is a bit big and I don't really need anything but wifi, so a tiny Touch is what I need except it doesn't exist.

I like new music, so I am happy to rotate playlists and with the offline mode I can take it anywhere. So far the Audio Hijack option looks the best option, I pay for Premium and rotate the music quite quickly, so don't feel too guilty.

90% Apple Lossless from Mac Mini direct into a DAC enabled amp.

10% using Spotify / iTunes match on an iPod dock if I am not in the louge.

My listening behaviour is the same in each room I have a system

45% Apple lossless from a Mac mini using Audirvana Plus into USB input of 8200CD DAC

5% CD on 8200CD, usually when I have bought a new CD. Then I will revert to listening to the album on Mac Mini after a month or so

45% FLAC on a Stream X

5% on a CD-T, as above for new CDs or if I'm playing an old favourite

The CD sources are the best but to tell the truth, I'm seriously contemplating boxing up 90% of my CD collection
