How does Netflix work?

How do you do it? What's it all about? How much? Can you just stream 1 movie? Thanks.

I would pay the top teir to make sure you get 4K content, think it's £8.99 per month. A month should give you time to watch daredevil season one and two as well as Jessica Jones 🙂

although daredevil is not HDR, it is very very contrasty. Lots of dark scenes with high peak luminance in the highlights, should look fab on your TVs.

Ah cheers, how do I go about getting it? I have Netflix on my remote control but that's all I know. Do you pay for it through Amazon or something? Cheers!
 
You can subscribe through iTunes or direct to Netflix. The normal full had service is £6.99, the 4K version is, I think, £8.99 a month. I'm not sure if you can get the latter via iTunes. Be aware that for 4K streaming Netflix recommends an internet speed of about 24-25mbps, otherwise you supposedly get a lot of buffering.

I have signed into Netflix.com and phoned them up but can't get it working. Any ideas? Cheers.
 
If you've received confirmation email that you've registered, go onto Netflix via smart functions of your tv, then choose already registered or it may be log in ( can't remember exactly), then it'll ask for the email you've registered with, enter that, then it'll ask for your password, enter & that should take you to the home page.

Try downloading the app onto your iPad & see if it works via the app. If it does then you need to check your tv manual, although on my to its simply via highlighting Netflix app & pressing ok. If the iPad app doesn't work, it may suggest you haven't registered fully, if so, contact Netflix, they're friendly & helpful.

Is DareDevil 4K?
 
Have you connected your tv to your router Via wi fi or Ethernet ?

Did you sign up for 4K. Can your broadband cope with that ?
 
I don't want to come across as condascending but someone's got to ask...have you ever tried downloading the manual (if it didn't come with a printed manual) seeing as it's your TV and none of us as far as I'm aware have the same model? How can members possibly tell you how to work your TV other than offer broadbrush guesswork based on how ours work.

Nope, I didn't sign up for 4K, didn't see where I could? Connected my TV to the wi fi internet. Not sure if broadband can cope with it but it's working on the iPad.

BTW - you can get a free months trial at the moment, that is what I signed up for.

i am using a small manual that came with the TV, I will try downloading the longer version too. Cheers.

Definitely worth a shot...it will go into all kinds of detail that we can only guess at.
