How can newer+bigger cost less?

I've been looking for a flat panel TV for a while and the ones which really caught my eye were the 'Picture Frame' models by Toshiba - especially the 40XF355. This TV started at about £1200 online, but now I can find it for about £850. Now, they are about to release a new model on 28th April - 42XV505 - which costs £750 online. Brand new. Bigger than the other one. How can this be?
