Hifi-system wanted - which to buy?

I'm quite new to this forum and I have already a question for all of you.
Perhaps a question often asked but nevertheless... I'd like to know your opinion!

I'm living in Belgium and would like to buy a hifi-system (dics player, amp, tuner).
I'm re-organizing a room in my house for listening to music.

It's not a big room, rather square and 4x5meters or 13x16 feet.

I'm a fan for listening to music, I have a nice budget (let's say up to 3.000-4.000 euro or 2100-2800 pound max - this is for everything, speakers, cables etc included) and I'd like to buy a good quality system!
BUT I don't know quite much about everything.

So, the question : what do you advice???

(Brands I already looked into: Arcam, NAD, Marantz,...)

Hi,
For that kind of money i'd look at something like Sonneteer Bronte kit into Neat Motive speakers,all Rega set up/Rega with Totem,Exposure again with Neat speakers,Creek into Epos,there really are so many good choices out there that are worth a good listen,but not sure what is avaliable in Belguim,if you can get to hear Phonar speakers,give them a listen,well worth it.
