Don't forget that european websites usually show a price for single soeakers rather than a pair. There is no way any retailer could sell them half price - I'm not saying that KEF prices won't differ worldwide, but generally, KEF represent themselves globally.

Generally the UK warranty isn't valid if you've purchased from abroad either. We all have a responsibility to keep business within the UK so that our economy is properly supported.

My original gripe re: European prices was not about undermining UK retailers but was an attempt to raise the question as to why UK retail prices haven't fallen in line with European prices. For example, the list price of a Devialet hasn't fallen in line with what is a significant devaluation of the Euro. I'm not suggesting distributors and retailers change their price every week, but when there is a prolonged currency downturn, and the goods are imported from a European manufacturer, then I would expect the UK price to follow suit, otherwise why wouldn't I save myself several hundred pounds and buy abroad?

I think you are missing the point of the free European market if you don't expect UK retailers to drop/raise their prices every week in order to compete with their direct competitors?
