So which dip switch settings should he use??Red MC
Internal impedance, DC resistance 7 Ohm
Recommended load impedance >20 Ohm
Ortofon Quintet Red (Low-Output MC):
Input impedance 20-50-70 ohms
Input gain 60dB
You took the words out of my mouthSo which dip switch settings should he use??
Odd, because that's different to what it says on the base, or maybe not....What makes it worse is that the manual also offers
Loading:
Dips 1&2 on = 1.1nF / 33 ohms
Dips 1&3 on= 1.1nF / 100 ohms
Dips 1&4 on= 1.1nF / 1K ohms
Worth a try. Usually loading is only a recommendation.Ok thanks Al ears, I shall give your 1st suggestion a go, and see how that sounds, If not I will play around with it and see what happens
Loosely speaking the ‘loading’ switches turned on to the right is what MC needs, while turned off to the left is for MM. [Your pic shows it set for a low output MM]What makes it worse is that the manual also offers
