HELP with Dead Onkyo 875

Hello i purchased an onkyo 875 in march when i got home today i turned it on worked fine realised my headphones were still plugged in when i unplugged the headphones the unit turned off and now is completely dead! Anyone heard of this problem i have checked the plug fuse and tried turning it off at the mains for a while but no luck. Does is sound like a send off to be repaired job?

yeah better take it back to sevenoaks tomorrow hope it doesn't take too long not sure how long i can put up with my rubbish sounding tv speakers!

From what i gather its a bit hit n miss with genserve some have been back with the owner in a week some in three weeks. hope yours is the former
