Hi all im new to all this at the mo and could do with some much needed help if posiable. Im looking to spent upto £1000 i was thinking of getting the Denon AVR-1910 but unsure as at the end of the year im buying a 3DTV and have noticed that onkyo have started releasing 3D ready receivers will this matter? And for my speakers I just cant decide at all, all I really know is that the mrs hates big bulky speakers lol. I did Fancy the Kef KHT 2005.3 k2 for £499 in sliver or £599 in black but unsure is there anything else?. Please help :)

Hi Cabiski,

Im sure everyone will agree that the best way to get your system right is to pop down to your local retailer and have a listen. What someone else thinks is great may not be to your taste or your room layout may not be suitable etc..

That said and for what its worth, the 2005 is a great little system but for your budget you could also look at the KHT3005 system along with an Onkyo 608 or Denon 1910, 3005's are stunners.

Been in same position recently. Went with the Q Acoustics 2000 cinema pack in gloss black, with with QAV speakers for the rears.

My Onkyo 608 arrives tomorrow - woo hoo!

Got great service and prices from Quantum Electronics on both.
