HELP/SUGGESTIONS NEEDED

Hi,

I'm hoping you can help me choose my first quality TV.

I am looking for a 1080P TV size 46-50 inch.

I will have plenty of HD input ie Sky HD, Blu-Ray dvd player, Xbox 360 (for gaming occasionally). As well as watching High Def I will also watch SD quite often so if possible I would like a TV that has bang on (or as near as possible) picture quality for HD and SD looks good too.

I would like the styling of the tv to be nice if possible but not essential.

I will hook up a surround sound system so audio quality not a major factor.

The viewing distances will range from 1.8m to 2.1m - the tv will be used to watch alot of sport and movies by me and daytime tv on sd by the mrs.

Budget of upto £900

If anyone can suggest certain models etc it would be greatly appreciated.

IMHO to get what you are looking for in a 46-50 inch screen I would recomend upping your budget or opting for a smaller screen.

Panny 50G10 shouold be on your list, just over £900, as is the LG 50PS8000, top of the range LG model, with THX picture mode.

Under £900 are the LG 50PS6000/3000 models.
