So, had my whole house rewired and placed cables throughput the walls to reach my wired speakers. The rocket scientists that intsalled the electrics did not use shielded cable to my sub woofer and of course it runs too close to electrical cables and now I have a nice hum to go with my films. The cable run is around 40ft so a nice double shielded cable works out pretty expensive to run now, so I was wondering if there were any bluetooth senders/recievers that I could use that would do the trick? Anybody got any ideas?

Many thanks

Can you use the cable the cowboys installed to pull another cable through the wall? If so, try using regular shielded TV coaxial cable (RG59 or RG6 in the US). It's shielded and as cheap as chips. You can buy coaxial to RCA crimp-on and solder-on plugs to terminate the ends in your wall plates or on "tails" sticking out the walls connected directly to the backs of your receiver and sub(s).
