Help ! Sound but no vision ...

Being a novice, not sure where I am going wrong...any help gratefully received ! I have set up my AV as follows : Sky into Receiver (onkyo ...608) with HDMI Blu Ray into Recevier with HDMI Receiver into TV using HDMI (ARC HDMI slot on tv) According to the TV, automatically detects devices using the ARC slot...but seems to think it is a BLu Ray, as when select that option the blu ray player turns on... When trying Sky, I get the sound through the surround speakers, but TV tells be no video source Anyone got any ideas ? Thanks

Check that your Sky box is set up to output via HDMI. I'm guessing your audio is connected via optical?

Sounds like a CEC problem to me. Not sure what make TV you have, but my Samung labels my AVR as anynet+ as it sees my Sony blu ray player via the HDMI. I would turn off any HDMI control or similar if I where you.
