To go from an Airport Express to a Unison Research Unico CDP DAC stage

Optical cable

Optical to Coaxial converter

Coaxial cable

I'd obviously like these to be very good cables, and have had some good suggestions so far.

My latest thoughts are:

True Colour Coral

QED converter

QED Performance Coax

But I love cables and I'm wondering whether it's worth me spending more.

Any suggestions?

Plus which plugs for either end, the optical to go into an Airport Express

Forget the Performance cable Joel. There are a lot better. QED SR is better. Clearer Audio Silver Line is what I eventually went with. Chord Signature £100ish on ebay. As for optical, Chord Optichord.

What about Atlas Compass and Chord Optichord then?

Hope so. Just got Airfoil and signed up for Spotify's free service. I will try it all out before buying a subscription.

What's the best way of getting internet radio?ÿ

The best way is to buy Sonos / Squeezebox or similar and stream through that.

Alternatively:

- download itunes and click on the radio option.

- try internet-radio.org.uk or live365.com or shoutcast radio

- "build" your own station with lastfm.com

- or for starters give Radio Paradise a go.

After the new purchase I'm guessing yours is not the "having a young family means I don't get the time for HiFi anymore" or "not used much - as I have loaded most music onto a music server" - lol. Good luck with the sale, but more importantly the new purchase
