Hi all, I need some suggestions.

The left channel of my system is sounding duller than the right - ALMOST like the tweeter isn't the same on the left hand side. However my a process of elimination I have found that it isn't my sources, my speaker cable, or my speakers, which leaves only the amp. But how can the frequency response suddenly contract in one channel?

Any thoughts on what might be wrong with it?

Thanks in advance.

Did you isolate the amp as the problem by switching the right channel to the left speaker, and vica versa?

No, by changing the speakers and by trying different sources.

Interestingly its fine using the headphones but the problem persists whether using the A or B speaker terminals.

Cheers anyway Cno. I powered the amp down fully (rather than putting it in Standby) and then switched it back on and tried again, and lo and behold the problem seems to have gone!

Strangest thing I've ever known. Still under warranty until October so if it comes back I'll take it into the dealer.

Thanks for trying to help! 🙂

No problem....though I wasn't much help.

I would worry that it may happen again.....probably after the warrenty's run out.

Intermittent faults have a habit of reocurring just after the warranty expires, it's the law..

At the very least, inform whoever you bought the amp from so at least the fault is on record should it happen again. It could be a known problem and you might be offered a replacement anyway.

Good advice.
