Hi, I've recently bought a Panasonic TH42PZ85 (amazing!!) and a PS3, am getting a Onkyo TX-SR606 when one comes in stock and am stuck on what 5.1 speaker system to get. From what I've read in the forum, the "Q Acoustic 1010i" setup seems to be the number one choice. However, I've also seen some good deals on the "Mission E30 5.1", and the "Mission M-Cube". Can probably stretch to £700 for the speakers, so this will also include the "Tannoy Mercury F1 Custom 5.1", the "Acoustic Energy AEGO T" and the "KEF KHT 2005.2". A fair amount of choice there, so if anyone's got any advice or feedback if you own any of them, would be apprecaited! Cheers Pete

If you can have big boxy speakers like the ones in the Q Acoustics and Tannoy packages - go for them. They'll give a much better sound than style packages like the KEFs. My choice out of the ones you've chosen would be the Tannoys.

Thanks guys - that's good advice. Was leaning that way!

Enjoy the Bank Holiday!

Of course, you could always get full size speakers for the front stereo pair, and smaller style system speakers for the centre and surround channels.........Just a thought........
