Hi All

Seeking any Yamaha 1500 HD-CDR owners, require some help please. Presently using an external CD player to record direct on to the units hard drive. Music compilations stored on Disc 001 etc then individual tracks on to new Album 1 etc to then transfer/copy on to blank TDK Audio CDR.

Playback from the hard drive is OK

Hello Mr Mucus

First of all Thanks for replying, Gee! The dreaded manual the few grey cells I have which are in fairly good working order however following numerous readings of manual my little grey cells have begun to over heat "still with the present cold spell Brrr" Helpful re: keeping warm.

I only recently purchased the Yamaha the first one arrived from dealer damaged and then they were unable to replace the unit in the process were well overdue refunding money which I ended up getting charged interest on the old plastic. I then dealt with another dealer who said they had it in stock day prior to delivery and booked a day off phoned to check it had been dispatched

out of stock.

Stroke of luck managed to get the present machine, I cant fault the playback from the hard drive thus far, following reading your message I returned to the Yamaha 1500 with rubber hammer at the ready,

Oh and additional nervous twitch "more medication please" and some how managed following copying to Disc 001 etc and then creating a number of new Albums "Dejavu"managed to copy onto a brand new CDR a number of tracks.

Only Dam thing is got to recall how I manged to do it I will keep you posted on my progress I mean I have lost track how many CDR's I have used and waisted in the learning process HO HUM!

Cheers once again from Mr Chuckles

Hi Chuckle, I've just woke up clutching the manual, I can't make head nor tail of it, I also have a bin of wasted cd's. I did'nt really buy mine for the copying side of it, just wanted the storage, which is filled up now. I totally agree with you about the playback from the hard drive, I think it sounds better than the original (is this possible), keep posted if you find the answer. Cheers, The bogey man. alias Mr Mucus.

Hello Mr Mucus,

I have made some progress all due to another HI-FI enthusiast on an alternative Forum. When I feel confident that I have over come a few Gremlins I will return, Thus far I've managed to copy a selection of tracks from the hard drive onto CDR I chose to use the Analog copy method page 43 re: instruction manual pressed copy twice and then waited whilst it went through the imaging process page 44 then information copied onto disc and then finalized.

I found reading the manual blind folded and standing on my head made things a lot clearer ascertaining to the manual only draw back attempting to pour myself a glass of wine HIC!!!!

Cheers Chuckles
