Hello

Im from Turkey Istanbul. Firstly Im sorry about my bad english. I found this Hifi Grundig speakers from flea market last weekend and I dont found any information about this speakers. Its 62 cm tall and 19 kg weights. woofer diameter is 28 cm. I cant open front grill and I see one big woofer circle and four little circles outside the front grill. I need open front grill and need information about this speakers model number. Front grill and back side is closed and not attached with screws.

Thanks

Hello and welcome. I cannot give you a model number, but I am pretty confident from that brand's history and the captive cables they are nothing to do with hifi! They are probably from a music centre (a combined record player, radio, amplifier - all in one unit) from the 1970s.

If they work at all they will probably sound dreadful, and are quite likely broken in some way. You can wire them up to an amplifier and try them, gently at first, to see if they make a reasonable sound. But I'm afraid they may not be what you were hoping.

Sorry to sound negative, but I'm trying to be realistic. Good luck!

I need remove the front grill for see the woofer and mid speakers but I cant open. Have you got a idea about remove the grill ?

My Dad had some similar style speakers. The grills were not designed to be removed. If your speakers are the same, then you would have to completely disassemble the cabinets as the grill mesh will probably be held in with staples inside. Be warned, there is a strong risk that the speakers will not survive all this activity.
