Interestingly, our 2021 year LG smart TV has been very reliable using only WiFi even for UHD o 4K video content, and my hunch is that video signals might reveal any conflict twixt Wi-Fi processing and video performance. I certainly can’t seen any issues.
My LG TV is also wifi connected but I do have one of BT's wifi extender discs just outside the lounge which may help the connection but my desktop is on the floor above and connected off the same disc and I have no issues with that either.

I think it all depends on what you want from your kit and your internet connectivity.

I've been using a Mesh wifi system for several years now. Very few issues (mostly from the VM router). We have several PCs, phones, audio streaming devices and also stream 4K video. As Oxfordian says it all depends on your "kit and internet connectivity".

Some Mesh devices have gigabit hubs built into the satellites and dedicated wifi channels to communicate back to the router. At the moment our 4 year old system still copes with our 350Mbps link to the outside world. Since we don't stream much within the network, it's fine.

Many TVs, including mine, are limited to 100Mbps via ethernet, in any case.
