Kiwi Ears Atheia Dynamic + Planar Magnetic Hybrid Dynamic Planar closed back headphones, that's an interesting combination!

How does this work, is one ear cup dynamic and the other, planar?

This from Kiwi Ears:

"The Kiwi Ears Atheia seamlessly integrates a powerful 50mm dynamic driver with a 14.5mm planar magnetic driver, delivering a truly refined listening experience. With a frequency response of 20Hz to 40kHz, it offers a balanced, neutral sound profile with fast, punchy bass, natural mids, and crystal-clear treble. Tuned for precision, the Atheia minimizes distortion, providing pure, high-fidelity playback even at loud volumes. Crafted from premium materials, including walnut wood ear cups and vegan leather, the Atheia combines superior sound with a comfortable, ergonomic design, ensuring an audiophile-grade experience from start to finish."

Seems to me that they have just given these headphones a separate tweeter. Plenty of headphones out there that can do what Kiwi claim these do, and do it very well, without the extra complexity. I think it is just a way of getting them to stand out in the marketplace.
