I need help (or have some basic question at a minimum)...

I bought a plasma TV with 2 HDMI inputs. I have a cable provider/digital video recorder box with HDMI. I have a DVD player with HDMI. Finally, I have an A/V receiver with 2 HDMI inputs and 1 HDMI output.

I want to hook these four components together without using coaxial, s video, component video, etc. Any suggestions on what gets hooked to what?

I appreciate any feedback or help. Thanks. Jason

You will probably need at least one audio input (coaxial or optical). But you can go plasma to receiver output. Receiver to dvd. Receiver to cable box. You will probably need optical from cable box to receiver and maybe coaxial to receiver. Done. Unless you name your boxes though, it's a little difficult to be exact.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

Here is what I have:

Samsung FP-T5084 tv
Denon AVR-2308CI receiver
Sony DVP-NC85H/B dvd player
unsure on the cable box/DVR

I'll try your suggestion - thanks again!
